Irradiate for iOS Configuration Instructions
Because Apple would never allow an app like Irradiate into its iOS App Store, blocking iTunes Radio ads on iOS requires a little bit of cunning. On your iOS device, follow the instructions below to configure Irradiate.
Step 1: Tap and hold this link, then tap "Copy".
Step 2: Open the Settings app, and navigate to Wi-Fi.
Step 3: Tap the blue "information" symbol next to your Wi-Fi network's name.
Step 4: At the bottom of the advanced Wi-Fi settings, under "HTTP PROXY", select "Auto".
Step 5: In the URL field, paste in the text you copied in step 1.
Step 6: Restart your device, and advertisements will now be blocked!
Please note that you will need to complete this process on each Wi-Fi network on which you want to enjoy ad-free iTunes Radio.
Irradiate for iOS functions using an automatic HTTP proxy file. This is a special file that instructs your device where to send Internet traffic requests. This does not mean that your Internet traffic is passing through our servers. The Irradiate proxy file simply directs the web traffic that is destined for Apple's iTunes Radio ad servers towards a dead-end, while directing all other web traffic to its original destination. This all happens on your device, and not on our servers. If you have any questions about this, send us a message.
